On Tuesday, May 2, 2017 I was proud to accept the invitation of The MS Dream Center in Cranston, RI to do a presentation to a wonderful group of people on successfully navigating emergency evacuations for people with disabilities.
The MS Dream Center first opened its doors in September 2010. The mission of the MS Dream Center is to provide a better quality of life for those members living with Multiple Sclerosis, their care partners, family, and friends through purposeful activities and social integration. Based on a "people helping people" philosophy, the MS Dream Center offers a wide variety of activities lead by people with MS, for people with MS.
The MS Dream Center which is currently housed in the Peter Pastore Youth Center
(155 Gansett Avenue, Cranston RI) is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30am to 2:00 pm September through June (excluding public school holidays). The Center is on the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) RIDE route for those who need transportation assistance. The MS Dream Center provides no-cost tickets for the RIDE van to and from the Center to members. Additional information and a schedule of programs/activities at the Center can be found on our web site at www.msdreamcenter.org or by calling Donna at 401-383-8878.
