Thank you to everyone who attended the presentation on mobile food truck regulation (or lack thereof) this morning! I am very happy with the turnout and the great questions all of you asked. I look forward to the day when we have an increase in safety for food truck owners/operators and the general public who enjoys them!

Following growth in popularity of mobile food trucks, codes and regulations being developed - NFPA Conference & Expo

Deputy Commissioner Ford of the Chicago Fire Department, myself, co-presenter R.T. Leicht, and a member of the Chicago FD.

Deputy Commissioner Ford took it upon himself years ago to address this issue and really initiated the development of food truck regulations for the City of Chicago. A great example!

R.T. Leicht, Ron Farr and myself developed a program to explain the fire hazards associated with mobile food trucks and what actions are being taken to address them. This is an issue that has gained a lot of attention after the tragic Philly food truck explosion (video below).  Learn what we need to do to prevent this disaster from occurring again! We will be in Room S404d at 9:30am.
