The state of Colorado has been under siege in recent years with notable events like the Waldo Canyon fireand the Black Forest fire(which is yet to be contained). With this heightened sense of wildfire awareness and the perils associated with trying to contain these disasters, Ryan Werner of Colorado Public Radio interviewed Ken Willette a Division Manager with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to learn more about firefighter fatalities report  that was recently published.  The good news is firefighter fatalities have been trending down for the second consecutive year with 64 on-duty firefighter deaths in 2012 by the NFPA.
