EV training in Massachusetts Over seventy training officers, department chiefs, and first responders attended NFPA's first official "train-the-trainer" session for its Electric Vehicle (EV) Safety Training program, which took place at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy in Stow, MA, on July 28. Director Ed Walker introduced the training, expressing his excitement at not only receiving the training but also being the first stop of the EV Safety Training national tour. Following the class, students called the instructors “engaging”, “well-informed”, and “easy to understand”, and headed out with their instructor guides and teaching materials to pass on their new information to their departments.
