Recently, however, some have begun to question whether NFPA 25 is adequate to ensure the successful operation of automatic sprinkler systems. To evaluate the standard, a symposium will be convened this December in Chicago to address a number of issues and identify a range of opinions and perspectives that will  be included as part of the overall public input on the standard as it enters the 2017 revision cycle. For more information on the issues at stake, read William Koffel's article "Closer Look" in the November/December issue of NFPA Journal.
