New report released on skin exposure hazards to firefighters

A new report has been released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) reveals new findings on dermal exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The goal of this study was to detect whether or not contaminates such as PAHs can be absorbed through th e skin of fire fighters while performing structural firefighting operations.
