An online article posted on Engineering & Electrical News, Inc. addressed this very issue, covering the proactive role fire departments like the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) and the San Jose Fire Department are taking to better understand and manage them. On a related note, NFPA recently hosted a workshop in New York with FDNY to explore potential risks posed by ESS and best practices for moving forward.

For a wealth of information and resources on ESS, check out the National Renewable Energy Laboratory website.
