Blog Post created by kristinbigda Employee on Apr 8, 2016

Enough of my boring Code ramblings (for now.)  How about a video?

Check out NFPA's own Principal Fire Protection Engineer, Greg Harrington, discuss the key changes to the 2015 edition of NFPA 1, Fire Code.  You can learn all about the the latest and greatest code changes in the current edition of NFPA's Fire Code without leaving the comforts of your home or office.  A perfect Friday afternoon activity!

Other free resources for NFPA 1 include a tip sheet and various articles and reports about relevant topics included in the Code.

See or hear something in the 2015 edition that you want changed and improved?  NFPA 1 is currently undergoing revision for the 2018 edition.  Information regarding the revision process and how to submit changes can be found on NFPA 1's document page.  There you will find the First Draft Report which shows the First Revisions, Committee Inputs and resolved Public Inputs from the First Draft Meetings.  The First Draft is a snapshot of the document with all changes incorporated and is open for public comment at this time.  Members of the public are encouraged to submit changes based upon the First Revisions and Committee Inputs.  There are some interesting and valuable topics being discussed by the Fire Code Technical Committee this cycle and comments are welcome!

Happy #firecodefridays!
