PROPOSED NEW PROJECT: Fire Control of Structures Based Upon Fire Dynamics

Amended:  At its August meeting, the Council reviewed all material presented and voted to establish the Technical Committee (TC) on Fundamentals of Fire Control within a Structure Utilizing Fire Dynamics and approved a Committee scope.  Once this Technical Committee develops and ballots a draft document (see Regulations 4.3.2.1), the Technical Committee may then make a request to the Council to enter an appropriate revision cycle. Previous Post: At its April 2015 meeting, the Standards Council reviewed the request of Richard Dyer, Kansas City, Missouri, that NFPA establish a new project to develop an NFPA Standard on fire control of structures based upon fire dynamics.  After review of all the material before it, the Council voted to solicit public comments of need for the project, information on resources on the subject matter, those interested in participating, if established, and other organizations actively involved with the subject. The proposed Technical Committee scope and title is as follows:
