Welcome to the new public education blog – Safety Source. You will notice that the blog is named after our very successful newsletter – Safety Source. If you are not receiving the Safety Source e-newsletter each month, sign up today.
NFPA public education staff will be posting blogs throughout the year to keep you up-to-date on what’s happening in the division. Today I’ve been busy updating the heating community kit with the latest statistics from our Fire Analysis and Research Division. NFPA has joined with USFA again this year to promote the Winter Freeze Campaign and the community kit is an important part of the campaign. You’ll find what you need to promote all types of winter heating issues including carbon monoxide safety. Of course, don’t forget to always include smoke alarms and escape planning in your winter campaign.
Let us know how you plan to get involved in the Winter Freeze Campaign. Have you checked out our heating community kit? What have you used in the kit to promote heating safety in your community? Is there anything we should add to the kit? We want to hear from you. We want to be your source for safety information
