Have you ever looked for a target rich environment where kids and families are everywhere?  I am sure in your community there are many places that have a family night.  Spring Lake Fire Department in NC has been working with Ruby Tuesday- Kids Eat Free family night.  The fire department is setting up an interactive display from 6pm-8pm every Tuesday night.  Firefighters are talking with them about fire safety and sponsoring a new activity each week.  The free downloadable activity sheets available from NFPA are great ways to have a fun activity as well as safety theme.  Firefighters are also using the free Ebooks and have the reading dragon to read to the kids.   According to Assistant Chief Jason Williams, “Ruby Tuesday have brought back kids eat free night every Tuesday night, so we thought it would be a great time to talk about fire safety, smoke alarms, and home safety.” Congratulations to the Spring Lake Fire Department for this innovative project. _20150806_112035
