Food, glorious food! That's what we so love about the 4th of July holiday. And what better way to enjoy our favorite foods than to cook them on the grill, right? But before you run out to the backyard and fire up the coals, you'll probably want to brush up on your grilling skills. According to our reports, July is the peak month for grilling fires and we want everyone to play it safe.

What's a good way to do that, you ask? Watching NFPA's "Grilling Fire Safety Tips" video, of course! Check it out below and see if you can answer our four grilling fire safety questions.

Didn't get a perfect score? Don't worry. NFPA has the help you need. Download for free our additional resources like checklists and tips sheets so you can read up on the steps you need to take before you start cooking for family and friends.

Now that you've taken the time to put fire safety first, don't you feel better? We sure do! But if you're still wondering what to cook for your guests, our friends at Martha Stewart have lots of great recipes for the food you actually want to eat. Meat and potatoes? Veggies and seafood? Pizza? She's got recipes for all of that, and dessert! So go ahead and check out her website and find the perfect meal for your family friends.

This holiday and throughout the summer, NFPA wants everyone to keep grilling fire safety top of mind. When you do, can't help but be able to create wonderful memories and meals for months to come!

So play it safe, everyone, and have a happy holiday!
