Lively music, food, and games are planned this October for the annual “Party in the Park”
in Thomasville, North Carolina. Along with the fun, there will be a focus on family health and

safety. The event is hosted by the city’s recreation department.

Thomasville Fire Department Division Chief of Fire and Life Safety Dolly Hulin says the Fire

Prevention Week Fire Safety Sports Box, with neat stuff for kids–soft slap bracelets, temporary

Sparky the Fire Dog® tattoos, team up for fire safety flag and other items–should be a big hit.

Thomasville’s “Party in the Park” is but one of several activities in which Fire Prevention Week

materials will be distributed.
