We were cited for dirty sprinkler heads in our recent survey. What is the best method for cleaning them? Will the greasy yellowed ones require replacement? Any recommended frequency?
Who cited you city , state, feds, fire sprinkler company??
NFPA 13 says do not clean. REPLACE
Now that is mainly if painted and possibly greased.
Call the fire sprinkler company let them do the work.
If just dust, it will burn off.
depending on the fusible link you have, if messed with can go off!!!!!!
What? Don't clean? Look at NFPA 25. You can clean them with a touchless method like vacuuming. See sprinklervac.com.
