Hi, I am designing foam system for oil storage tanks. I need following clarifications.
1) Maximum how much distance can be allowed between bladder tank to oil tank.
2) How many ratio controllers can be allowed for one bladder tank.
1) Foam equipment (incl. bladdertank) distance would typically be placed far outside the danger zone. Or, when placed within that danger zone, it shall be well protected so that functionality and operability (automatic & manual) will not be jeopardized. To determine how far the danger zone is and which heat intersities occur, you first have to have fire scenarios being calculated...
2) There are in fact no restrictions to how many ratio controllers you'd feed from one bladdertank (as long as you keep enough flow and pressure over all systems in case of them all operating at the same time). But when there's need for many different systems being fed from one bladdertank, then you'd best bring the number of proportioners down by making use of large wide range type(s).
Hope this helps. Cheers.
Thank you for your valuable reply.
