It would be great to have some real life case studies of the balls in action.
I am also interested in finding out more about these, I hope someone answers you!
Pretty interesting, not seeing any UL or FM listings on the Elide website? Lots of patents pending worldwide, but maybe no third party testing?
That said these appear to be far cheaper than the ones marketed to FD's nationwide ($100 vs $1000+).
I have the kind Elide Fire Extinguishing Ball Singapore officer in email reply as follows :
"Currently in Singapore, the only emergency response team that is using Elide Fire Extinguishing Ball is the Fire Fighting Department from Sembmarine@Tanjong Kling.
Whereas globally, the Turkish anti-riot police and the Australian fire brigade are equipped with the Elide Fireball. The New Zealand authority is also using the fireball for the 1st response team.
In fact I am just back from Philippines, Davao. After our presentation and demo, they are impressed with our product. We are currently talking with the authority to equip the 911 response team with the fireball"
I agree Elide is pricier than other brands.
They are the inventor and their product seems to be superior than the rest.
Our FD is going to a demo by Elide some time soon.
stat-x also has a product that is portable.
