Hello, I am new to the food processing industry and I have a question on Fire Entinguishers. We have Class ABC Extinguishers but we are installing a new process that has Dust Collector/Baghouse attached. Its not a big one but I know in my previous life working at a Aluminum Wheel Casting facility, we had to have water extinguishers in order to put out a baghouse fire. Would that be the same case for this? We use Cinnamon, Brown Rice, and Sorghum flours.We also use chocolate but its melted in an enclosed environment and dust is not an issue.
