Just want some feedback from other sprinkler companies on what software they are using.
I have primarily used hydracad software suite
In my area no sprinkler contractor uses ITM software for their jobs. They just print/copy a new blank form (appropriate for the system to be tested) and fill them manually.
Is this still the case where the contractors in your area are printing a new blank form every time for their jobs? Will be good to know what's holding them back...
With only one exception I know of, the local contractors still one of the following:
1) don't know any better.
2) have very few customers they perform ITM to justify purchasing an software.
3) are too cheap to purchase an ITM software.
Thank you Emmanuel.
To address those exceptions, perhaps we can propose some solutions to the community. One of them might be better education on what options are out there for those performing ITM and how those can benefit their organization? Just my 2 cents...
Hey all I found the program I am going to use. Look them up ServiceTrade.
hydracad work very good for me. I recommand it
Jim Chimento, Chief Inspector, Merit Sprinkler Company, we have been using CodePal Toolkit since 2013; before that it was Compliance Software that went out of business. CodePal can tailor NFPA 25 ITM to each individual property. The AHJ's and underwriters in this area love it!
How's CodePal working out for you? Just wanted to know your experience with it.
@hfontana Check out Docspace. Its mobile/tablet compatible with a customized form builder. It's also free to try. Here's the link if your interested Docspace | Smart Fire Inspection Software . Hope that helps! software
