I am working on a project that involves a IT room with Fire suppression (clean agent). There are smoke dampers located in the room. Is it ok for the control of smoke dampers from the fire alarm panel or BMS or fire alarm and BMS?
What if the smoke dampers were provided only to seal the room as to not allow the clean agent to dissipate through room openings.
I've consulted with manufacturers and they also have told me there is no code relating that smoke dampers cannot be controlled via BMS, through the FACP.
Project is location in Canada with reference to NFPA standards.
