In case of use to Cable tray ; (For Fire alarm system)
What is the separation distance between the other Cable? (Power or Lighting cable, Communicationcable, etc~~~)
1. Indoor case ;
2. Outdoor case ;
As with most questions, the answer is "it depends". In a processing plant API RP 540 Electrical Installations in Petroleum Processing Plants has guidelines for separation depending on voltage, power, types, and wiring methods. NEC has requirements on Intrinsically Safe circuits and others, along with Class 1, 2 & 3 circuits. Fire alarm is covered in NEC article 760
Thank you for your reply.
Although it is not a code requirement, it is prudent to provide separation between cables to reduce electromagnetic interference. Typically AC power cables can induce "hum" into low voltage cables. Audio/telephone/entertainment signals are most susceptible to interference, while data (Ethernet) signals are less susceptible.
