I have an Area Technology Center (high school level vocational school) with an Automotive Technology Program. The instructor wants to relocate containers of motor oil and other flammable liquids used in the program to a detached , brick building adjacent to the school building. Under NFPA 1: 34.4.4.1, can a secured, detached building be used by an educational occupancy to store flammable liquids used for instructional purposes?
