Looking into getting a new emergency alert system for the department I work for and am looking for the proper NFPA standard that covers it
Can you give a little more detail of what your system would look like, and what you want it to do??
What kind of business is this??
The system can be as simple as a fire alarm system,
Or bump it up to a fire alarm system with a voice evac system.
I work for a fire department and we are looking at an alerting system for when a call comes in (medical or fire) from dispatch. An example of the system would be something like the Phoenix G2 System by US Digital Design.
Station alerting is most definitely NFPA 1221, Standard for the Installation, Maintenance, and Use of Emergency Services Communications Systems.
NFPA 1061 and APCO Project 33 is for the dispatchers, but NFPA 1221 covers a lot for dispatching as well.
