How often should the fusible links be replaced on a fire door?
I do not think NFPA 80 specifies unless it has been changed
If you email your question to this person, they can confirm::
Fusible links do not have a replacement schedule on fire doors. They will need to be replaced should they: Become damaged, be exposed to oxidizers (acids / alkalis'). be exposed to fire without releasing/fusing or should they be painted or coated with anything.
Just my opinion
I recently had this come up on an inspection. The fusible links are to changed out if they become damaged or exposed to elements much like Mr. True said in a prior statement. During my inspection we concluded that it was left up to the manufacturer's recommendations for the replacement. It has become a standard practice that I contact makers of these fire doors and get their recommendation.
