In Florida we have a modular fire station going in with a separate truck canopy. Both buildings have fire sprinklers. the modular has a fire alarm with sprinkler monitoring while the truck canopy has just sprinkler monitoring. Two separate alarm systems were to be installed. Fire alarm for modular and separate panel for sprinkler monitoring in truck canopy. I suggested one fire alarm for project rather than two separate panels that did not report to each other. We currently use NFPA 72 2010 edition. Is there any justification that would allow two separate panels installed by two separate contractors?
