Current NFPA 25 California Edition VS. NFPA 72

Question asked by Brian Robinson on Jun 13, 2016

The current California edition of NFPA 25 (based on 2011) states that water-flow and tamper devices are to be tested Annually.

NFPA 72 on the other hand has a testing frequency for water-flow and tamper devices to be tested semi-annually.

I believe that the California NFPA 25 would trump NFPA 72 as it is specific to California.

With that said, NFPA 72 states that sla batteries are to be load tested semi-annually. NFPA 25 mentions nothing about batteries. Am I to believe that NFPA 72 should be followed in California for the testing of sla batteries semi-annually?

Thanks,
