New project- a portion of the building is considered a high-rise, but the rest of the building would be considered non-high rise. Does this mean the entire building would have to comply with high-rise requirements, or just the high rise portion? Would a fire wall be required to separate the high rise from the non-high rise portion? The building is the same construction type, occupancy, and owner.
Finally, new high rise building connecting to an existing building that is not a high rise. Same question, does the existing building now need to comply with high rise requirements?
