Since the State of MI has adopted the 2012 NFPA 101 & the 2010 NFPA 72 some of the fire inspectors are requiring that pull stations be installed in the vestibule 60" from the exterior door. Prior to the adoption of the code we installed the pull stations within 60" of  the interior vestibule doors in the natural path of egress. Moving pull stations inside of a vestibule can create a climate issue and mounting/support issues. What is the definition for a exit doorway opening? Could this be defined as the door entering the vestibule.
