Why is diversity not an acceptable means of determining load on non-life safety/optional generator circuits, if the gen set is provided with load management capabiltiy?

702.4 is somewhat unclear. (A) says the optional standby must be suitable to provide maximum short circuit at its terminals. (B) says the standby load shall be calculated in accordance with 220.  (2) says the standby must be able to provide for maximum load that will be connected by the load management system.


This appears to be three different versions of generator set sizing criteria.
