Looking to see if any progress has been made in the inclusion of standards/codes for NFPA 96 regarding Mobile Food Trucks/Carts?
If your jurisdiction has adopted NFPA 1, section 18.104.22.168 may be of some assistance.
NFPA 96, 2017 edition Annex B has expanded into a chapter addressing mobile and temporary cooking operations to include mobile catering vehicles. The language is non-mandatory annex material but written in such manner so as it may be adopted as code by the AHJ. Annex B does have some areas that need a little work such as 19.2.1 addressing "all recreational vehicles" and not mobile catering vehicles. Also, 19.3.1 is written in such a manner as to infer that only ASME containers are allowed to be used to the exclusion of US DOT cylinders. But by and large the committee has done a good job of addressing this application.

I was looking for some guidance on the utilization of CNG or LNG on Mobile Food Vendors. We have a manufacturer that has reached out to us with what the guidelines are for the use of Natural Gas in lieu of LP on a vehicle appliances.
