I am assessing the compliance of our sprinkler system, and want to be certain of storage heights pertaining to category III and IV commodities.

We work with a number of different fluorocarbons which are listed as category IV commodities.  Our insurer states that they should not be stored higher than 12 feet, which I have confirmed via NFPA 13.  What about other commodities?

I see in the code that we can store "encapsulated" commodities at heights from 15 to 20 feet.  I guess I am just looking for help clarifying these questions.

Thanks.
