We are designing a toxicology laboratory and a solvent storage room is part of the design. I am bouncing around between NFPA 30 and NFPA 45 trying to find out the requirements of this room. Specifically, I am looking to see if I need fire-rated walls, and at what rating. We are also trying to find out if we need to make the room blast proof and to what degree. Currently they are going to be storing Class IB liquids in 4L containers (glass to the best of my knowledge) and will have approximately 32L of storage.
