Floor control Valve assemblies required check valve though Alarm Check Valve assembly is proposed at riser per NFPA 13, i didn't find any technical reason to have check valve where there is no combined system (wet sprinkler and standpipe) is proposed.

8.16.1.5.1* Multistory buildings exceeding two stories in height
shall be provided with a floor control valve, check valve, main
drain valve, and flow switch for isolation
