I am working on a system that will have 500' of power cable from a Power Distribution Subsystem Cabinet to equipment and an antenna (proposed multiple installations).

Power needs are 8250 Watts at 208 VAC 60hz three phase. Minimum 40 AMP breaker.

Because of the length of cable provided by the contractor (500'), it appears that #4 wire is required.

The contractor proposes furnishing 500' of cable made up at both ends as part of their contract. The contractor believes that they will not be altering the cable ends should less than 500' of cable be required.

Question: How much cable could be coiled up without any issues?
