I have questions, I am working to install a 3 diesel pump engine based on NFPA 20 in US:
1. Is Modbus architecture acceptable to bring the pump running, controller status (manual/auto), and common trouble signal/status to a manned station (distance is ~1300 ft from pump room to the manned control room) or does it have to be hard-wired?
2. Does a remote start button required at the manned remote control room? Will it suffice just to have the pneumatic/electrical solenoid which open the deluge valves which in turn will turn on the pump?
Thank you in advance,
