Supplemental hose proportioning requirements in Nfpa 11

Question asked by dmdennym on Jul 5, 2017

Nfpa 11 requires supplemental hose

streams in 50 gpm incriments based on storage tank diameters. It allows for the additional foam concentrate for hose to be stored in the same storage as the fixed system foam concentrate requirements. By allowing this to occur, does this mean that the proportioning for the fixed system should be designed for the incrimental supplemental hose (50, 100, 150) individually and/or combined with the system demand?
