From an egress pathway perspective, is a house of worship permitted to allow a wheelchair-bound attendee to park in an aisle?

This assumes an auditorium with fixed seating.  I acknowledge that ADA requirements are a separate approach to this topic, but I'm merely seeking here to know how code would be read on this from an NFPA perspective.  Would the wheelchair's inhabitant need to be officially informed of a duty to evacuate immediately upon the advent of an emergency, much as airplane occupants of an exit row are required to agree to aid the process of evacuation?  Would this matter be read differently depending on the availability (or unavailability) of designated accessible spaces within the room?

Thanks all, in advance.
