Is it acceptable practice to have receptacles with two different voltages in the same 4x4 box?

I've encountered an installation inside a cabinet below a cash register which is not something I've seen before.  The 4x4 box contains two duplex receptacles but they are not supplied from the same circuit.  One pair is configured for 20A, 125V straight bladed plugs and supplied from a 20 A branch circuit.  The other pair is configured for 250V and supplied from two poles of a separate circuit breaker.  As long as the receptacles, breakers, and wiring sizes meet standards, is this configuration something that would likely to be accepted by a thorough electrical inspection?
