Question asked by smfahmed on Nov 10, 2017

For Class B , ordinary hazard how number of required fire extinguisher will be calculated in Petrochemical industry where most of the portions are platform and ground floor open area. Need suggestion from expert.

As per the code NFPA 10 The minimum number of fire extinguishers for Class A hazards for each floor of a building shall be determined by dividing the total floor area by the maximum area to be protected per extinguisher as determined by Table 6.

Does above justification also fulfill for Class B ordinary hazard like 10 B or 20 B

How Fire extinguishing covered area will be measured.
