Can i use CMDA sprinklers at Plastic A storage if clearance exceeding 3 meters?
If yes, What's the guide reference?
Yes you can. Depending if the commodities are stored in racks or not, check sections 15.2, 17.2.1 or 17.3.1 of NFPA 13. Alternatively, if accepted by the AHJ, you could apply the tables found on FM 8-9 datasheet.
Thanks for your reply.
The commodity are stored in racks but 17.2.1 & 17.3.1 refer only to max clearance up to 3 meter.
However i found the answer at Chapter 12, 220.127.116.11.5 Where the clearance to ceiling exceeds 10 ft (3.0 m) for Section 16.3 or Section 17.2, protection shall be based upon the storage height that would result in a clearance to ceiling of10 ft (3.0 m) or providing one level of supplemental, quick-response in-rack sprinklers locateddirectly below the top tier of storage and at every flue space intersection.
