VFPA will host its Annual Conference in Virginia Beach May 21-23.  We are very excited to announce that, for the first time, we will have two tracks from which our students can choose.  In addition to the technical code training track normally offered, we will also provide a Leadership Development Track.  It is our plan to include IFMA training in this track.

In addition to this bold new approach to our training offerings, we have added a third date and location for training to be offered in 2018.  We plan to host a conference in July in Northern Virginia.  With this addition, we hope to provide training that is convenient to all of our members by spacing our conferences in three diverse locations.

The Virginia General Assembly is in session at this time.  We continue to address the usual bills that recur in some form each year related to fireworks and other fire safety concerns.  We remain active and vigilant to maintain and/or improve our levels of fire safety protections in the Code of Virginia.
