FIGURE A.6.3.1(a) Horizontal Split-Case Fire Pump Installation with Water Supply Under a Positive Head

item #  5 at the drawing stated Flexible couplings for strain relief.

Flexible couplings are used to compensate for temperature changes and to permit end movement of the connected
shafts without interfering with each other.

My question; is that flexible coupling like Victaulic style 77 ?

What is the optimum no. that could be used ? one or two or three …etc? and what is the reference to calculate no. of flexible coupling needed?

https://www.victaulic.com/products/style-77-flexible-coupling/

Or

it is a traditional flexible joints ? is there any FM approved flexible joint that could be used with the Fire pump suction line?
