We're a property owner plagued by kitchen fires by residential tenants.
We have installed stovetop firestoppers. They sit over the stove, installed right above the burners on the bottom of the exhaust vent. The firestoppers are functioning and putting out the fires, but the sprinklers are going off anyway causing massive water damage. Should this be happening? How much or how little heat should it take to set the sprinklers off?
