As we know that the phase II elevator should be operated by the fire fighter with a key, is there any requirements where this key will be located? are these keys universal for all the lifts in a building or a railway station? thanks.
In a place approved by the fire department
We use a lock box system, normally located near the front door,
But are going to a box at the elevator
The other location might be a command room, such as in a high rise.
Normally used near the front door::
Started to require the elevator box next to the elevator::
I know the door key is not universal, and I doubt the firefighter key is universal
For a metro railway line, there are a number of stations in which have the fire fighter elevators. Normally where should the phase II elevator key be located?
Without being able to see the locations in person, I would defer to the fire department.
I would say some where near the elevators, or a location easy accessible tot he fire fighters
I believe the elevator Phase II operation key is standardized as to work in any elevator? Our personnel carry a single key that operates in all our buildings, but it may also be a State requirement? We require an additional key in the lock box (Know Box) or at the FACP.
