Does NFPA Code enforce to have Fire suppression system in Electrical Distribution substation of 415V and 6.6KV whereas already CO2 extinguishers are available?
Need urgent response
I am going to default with yes. If this substation is in a building that the occupancy requires an automatic sprinkler system coverage throughout the building. You will have to argue the point otherwise.
I need a reference to the NFPA code, which enforces to have a Suppression system. It can be Good to Have choice but not Must to have.I found nothing in NFPA 70 & 70E about this. In addition, i reviewed NFPA 2001 as well. One supplemental question is that did UK, USA all Power distribution network (Substation) equipped with suppression system. If not then how can the employer be convinced to have this suppression system
