GFCI required for control panel?

Is a GFCI outlet required for a computer programming port located thru the door of a control panel? We typically install these for our programmers in order for them to plug in their laptop to program the PLC.

NFPA 79 15.1.1 Receptacles for Accessory Equipment. Where the machine or its associated equipment is provided with receptacle outlets to be used for accessory equipment (e.g., handheld power tools, test equipment), the following conditions shall apply:
(1) Receptacles mounted external to the enclosure shall be
ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI)–protected.
