I have worked with many licensed contractors in California.  I do the PLC programming and I always do a visual inspection of the panel before I start programming.  I have always referred to NFPA 79 for machine wiring.

Previously  contractors used wire ferrules on all wiring in the 24vdc control panel.

I’m currently tasked with working on a control panel by a licensed contractor in California (C-10)

This contractor has told me NEC code does not have any requirements for using wire ferrules.

Is this correct?
