I have a company that wants us to rent them a temporary firewater pump, NFPA 20 addresses stationary firewater pumps, what standard applies to temporary/removable firewater pumps?
In my mind the same.
So why the temp????
I am under the presumption that an existing stationary fire pump is out of order due to an unplanned occurrence or due to work that was planned in advance. There appears to be no specific NFPA standards requirements for temporary fire pumps for a water-based fire protection system.
NFPA 20 requires stationary fire pumps to be maintained in accordance with NFPA 25.
