Trapeze Hangers are sized using a tabulated Section Modulus. Can I size Trapeze Hangers computing a Section Modulus by me using the same values used to calculate the tabulated Section Modulus?

From NFPA 13 - 9.1.1.2, We Know that Hangers shall de designed to support five times the weight of a water filled pipe plus 250lb (115kg) at each point of support.

But in 9.1.1.7.1, Trapeze Hangers are sized using a tabulated Section Modulus calulated on a maximum bending stress of 15ksi (103MPa) and a midspan concentrated load from 15ft (4,6m) of water filled pipe, plus 250lb (115kg).

So when I design a Trapeze Hanger I can size it computing a Section Modulus using the Load of water filled pipe plus 250lb (115kg) and a maximum bending stress of 15ksi (103 MPa), right?
