NFPA 52:   &

I would like to get a deeper understanding of the meaning of both of these items regarding CNG tanks.

  •  What is the meaning of a "system to detect the failure of a any one of the valves."
  •  How does one determine tank pressure "regardless of the valve position"?  The text does not indicate what "valve" this is referencing (Either manual or solenoid).  In the case where there is both a manual and solenoid valve installed on the tank, if the solenoid valve fails in the closed position, opening the manual valve does not override the failed solenoid valve.  How does one determine tank pressure remaining inside the tank in this instance?  (Example:  OMB Lyra valve).

Thanks in advance for an opinion on this as I am stumped!
