Per NFPA 2013 edition
deals with all NFPA 13 installations,,
But only applies to "dwelling" units
Applies only if you are designing to NFPA 101 and D.1.1.6 New Apartment Buildings.
AND if only using NFPA 13 if Appendix D was also adopted by ordinance or contract
OHHH I am not an engineer, so you can discount my reply if you want, and I cannot do math.
Great comment. Fair enough
The 2015 NFPA 101 references 2013 NFPA 13. Paragraph (2) of Section 2.1 of NFPA 101 for referenced documents resolves the issue of the conflict pointed out. "Where the requirements of a referenced code or standard differ from the requirements of this Code[NFPA 101], the requirement of this Code[NFPA101] shall govern." Based on the information provided Section 220.127.116.11 of the 2015 NFPA 101 governs.
I can not speculate what the local building codes and regulations are for the resolving of the conflict.
